Internet addiction
Internet is also a strong addiction, those who get addicted cannot live without it, know its features:
Medical opinion is expressed as to whether Internet addiction exists as a mental disorder in its own right or is a manifestation of pre-existing mental disorders or behavioral problems. For example, a person who is addicted to Internet gambling may have a gambling problem rather than an Internet level. People use internet according to their hobby but slowly they get used to it. Drunkard to wine, gambler to gamble, internet user also gets addicted to internet.
More research into this 'chicken or the egg' aspect of Internet addiction is needed before any definitive answers can be known. A recent study from the USA showed that four percent of college (university) students between the ages of 18 and 20 exhibited problematic Internet behavior.
Although college and university students may be particularly vulnerable to addiction, studies of Internet addiction among students typically use only self-selected online surveys, with no control groups for comparison. Some survey studies do not provide reliable results because they can only study one class, so the information cannot be generalized to a wider group or population.
Symptoms of Internet Addiction
According to the American Psychiatric Association, Internet addiction can include three or more of the following:
The number of Internet user satisfaction times is increasing. As it happens, he spends his time on the Internet.
If they cannot go online, the user experiences unwanted withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, anger, restlessness, restlessness, and obsessive thoughts about the Internet. These symptoms are caused by using the internet
The user turns to the Internet to cope with negative emotions such as guilt, anxiety or depression.
The user spends as much time engaging in other Internet-related activities (such as Internet vendors, researching Internet books).
The user neglects other areas of life (such as relationships, work, school, and leisure pursuits) in favor of time on the Internet. Only internet shows him in life. He is not interested in work like relationships, work, school etc.
The user is ready to lose relationships, jobs or other important things in favor of the Internet.
If the user does not get internet, he behaves strangely, he does not pay attention to any other work,
Addictions are of different types which are as follows.
1)Pornography: A person uses the Internet to view, download or swap pornography or engage in temporary cybersex with other users. This results in neglecting their real world life with their partner or spouse. He gets addicted to watching pornography every day, which forces him to stay away from the Internet.
2) Relationships – Individuals use chat rooms to form online relationships ('online dating') at the expense of spending time with real-life family and friends. This may include having online affairs ('cyberdulary'). In today's time, due to social media like Facebook and WhatsApp, people spend their time there.
3) Games – This may involve spending excessive amounts of time playing games, gambling, shopping or trading. This can lead to serious financial difficulties.
